Little BIG Running Weekend 2021

For one day only, well for this year anyway.
As part of the 10 Year Anniversary Celebrations of the Woodland Discovery the Accelerate Running Community will once again be hosting the Little BIG Running Weekend in October 2021. This will be followed by the Full-On, High Octane BIG Running Weekend in March 2022.
For this year we are going with the Little BIG Running Weekend: a one day, full on outdoor extravaganza of Running. There will be led runs, family sessions with running games, technique and coached sessions. As always the regular groups that happen each week – WoodRun, Accelerate Trail Runners and Running Past50 – will be hosting their own mix of running and coached sessions.
- The highlights of the day will include:
- Led Runs over the Blue Route (5k and 9k), Red Route (14k) and the Black Run (24k).
- The ever popular Up and Down Hill Running Technique coached sessions
- New this year will be an update to the Family WoodRun – The Games We Play. This should be total madness and much fun from what I hear.
- Another new one… For those that run for head space a led run exploring the mindful benefits of running.
As ever there will be the opportunity to try kit and gear from a select number of key brands that continue to support The BIG Running Weekend. Scott Running and Saucony have both confirmed already.
We are close to finalising the days program and we will bring this to you in the next few days – we are just checking with all the Run Leaders and Session Coaches that we have everything in order.
Cost for the day is £6 per person, with under 16 family members going free. You can join in with as much or as little as you like on the day.

2020 Entries Carried Over…
Crikey, what a year! For those that carried their ‘Weekender Ticket’ over from March 2020, have no fear. First, thank you for being so patient.
Secondly, the good news is that your entry includes both this year and next. Not one of you asked for a refund and you supported us all the way. What more could we ask.
Trail School tickets will carry over to 2022 and you will not be subject to any price increase despite areas of rising costs. You too will receive a Little-Ticket for this years Little BIG Running Weekend.

The 2022 event is booked for Friday 25th, Saturday 26th and Sunday the 27th. As stated above for all those with tickets from 2020, your Weekender Ticket already has your name on it.
