Time Table Confirmed

big running weekend time table 2022

Well that looks colourful!
The 2022 BIG Running Weekend Time Table of activities is now live!  With over 25 volunteers leading runs, taking coached session, hosting workshops and presentations, plus our very special guest speakers this can take some pulling together.  So here it is!
The full 2022 Timetable is now available for download Here so that you can start the fun of working out which sessions and runs you would like to attend.

All our Coaches and Leaders are fully qualified. They are active every week with both coaching and leading, always looking to improve through personal development.  Most of all they will bring along a smile and ensure that everyone has a good time.

“Had a great time, thank you! Particular thanks to Graeme, Dave and the rest of the Black Route Crew – and to Stuart and his young demo team for showing us how it should be done.”

The BIG Running Weekend gets underway on Friday 18th March. Sunshine Pizza will be in attendance and the Woodland Coffee Stop will be on hand to keep us all watered and fed. Then it’s on with the action.

5:30 pm Everybody welcome – It’s Pizza Time!!
6 pm NEW : Black Diamond Junior Intro Night Trail Run – 4km. 9yrs and upwards.
6 pm Strength & Stability Session
7:15 pm Running the “BIG 4 at 40” with Record Breaking Ultra Runner Ross Jenkins Supported by Dynafit
8:30 pm Black Diamond Led Night Run (Blue Route) 5km

The highlight of the weekend, something we are all really looking forward to, is meeting Jo Pavey, MBE.  A legend in her own time!
Jo, has competed at the Olympics, more than once and in 2014 she won European 10,000 m Gold!  It was an absolutely superb race, with the closing stages well worth a watch.

You can join Jo for a leisurely Woodland run on Saturday afternoon, over either 5k or 10k distance – we would suggest no racing!!

Saturday 3pm: Running with Championship Runner Jo Pavey: Led 5km or 10km Woodland Run, supported by Saucony.

Jo will then be talking during the evening about her her career and many things running.
Both the talks on the Saturday evening will be unmissable as local Superstar Dot Kesterton will also be in the spot light.  Dot, too has represented Great Britain as a Master Runner, having come into the sport during her 50’s. Today, she continues to compete at the highest level in International Competition.

So grab yourself a Pizza and settle in for a Saturday evening that looks quite simply amazing.

6:30 pm Evening Talk – Dot Kesterton’s ‘Adventures with a GB Vest’.
7:30 pm An Evening with a European Champion – Meet Jo Pavey
8:30 pm Black Diamond Led Night Run (5km Blue Route)

Wow! and that’s just for starters.  The BIG Running Weekend promises to be another amazing, fun filled, action packed and informative weekend.

“Thanks for an awesome Big Running Weekend. What a fantastic and inspirational series of events and workshop. I loved the films and speakers, sharing their many and varied experiences, expertise and adventures along the way.”

So check out the BIG Running Weekend Time Table and we hope you can come along. We’ll see you there.
