Strength & Mobility Sessions
Being strong enough to run without getting injured is important, but what should you be doing and when? Then there is also the question of joint mobility and flexibility.
These strength and mobility sessions will take place in Sycamore Suite and are designed specifically for runners of any age and ability. These sessions will be delivered by the experts of the Accelerate Performance Centre.
Friday 18th, 6:00pm. Strength and Stability Session
Saturday 19th, 5:00pm. Running Mobility Session
Sunday 20th, 8:30am. The Perfect Start to the day: Mobility Wake Up
Sunday 20th, 1:30pm Strength and Stability Session
The Strength and Stability Sessions will focus on fundamental movement patterns to help you become stronger and more resistant to injury. It is a primarily physical session, but when and how often to do the exercises will be discussed through the course of the session. All the movements are body weight so are suitable for all abilities and are easily adaptable to suit individual capabilities.
Mobility, is a great way to help relax the body after training. It also serves as an excellent way to help prepare you for exercise. It’s a practical session for all ages, it’s more important for injury prevention and maintaining good movement patterns than you may realise. Well worth attending.
Sign up sheets will be available from Friday evening at BIGRW. If the planned sessions get full we can always squeeze another one in!
